A founding member of Pele Energy Group, Thapelo’s guiding ingenuity plays an integral part in the day-to-day agility of the group and their ability to navigate challenging environments. Before joining his fellow founding members in bringing Pele Energy Group to life, Thapelo began his career at the Gauteng Provincial Treasury. He was later appointed as a foreign exchange currency dealer at Standard Bank, followed by a stint as an economic and financial analyst at Absa Africa.

Thapelo’s current responsibilities at Pele Energy Group include overseeing all operational touch points, including marketing, IT, facilities, group reporting and overall operational performance. Thapelo is also responsible for overseeing board. He has played a vital role in finding and nurturing partners and scaling the business to where it is today.

Thapelo holds a B Com Honours in Financial & Monetary Economics and advises on all internal Pele Energy Group boards.
