Ronald Chindeka

Head of Investment and Funding

Ronald was appointed Head of Investment and Funding after joining Pele Green Energy in 2020.

Ronald’s vast experience in evident in his fourteen-year career, starting at PwC where he served his articles before joining the PwC Deal team as a Senior Manager in the Infrastructure, Government, and Utilities department. He then later joined Fieldstone Africa where he was elevated to the role of Vice President before finally joining Pele.

Ronald heads the Pele Energy Group team responsible for current and future investments into renewable energy projects, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's investment and funding strategy for renewable energy projects. Ronald was instrumental in the refinancing of CPV1 as well as participating in closing several projects including Redstone, ETNA and R5. He was part of the team for Pele Energy Group’s first lead bid in R5 as well as the team for the Group’s ground-breaking venture with Glencore. He also played a key role in the close for Sithala and the Greenday refinancing.

Ronald holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Rhodes University and a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from UNISA. He is a Chartered Accountant proudly affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe.
