Boipelo serves as Pele Energy Group’s Managing Director of Pele Agri Division.

Prior to his role as a founding member of Pele Energy Group, Boipelo had gained exposure to a diverse set of industries and skills. These include event management for the South African Youth Chamber of Commerce and a term as Key Accounts and Sales Manager for SAB Miller. Boipelo’s roles at Pele Energy Group have also been varied, lending his ingenuity to various divisions within the business including Director of Project Development Off-grid, for Pele Green Energy; Group Marketing Director, Cradle Impact Director for business development, as well as a period as Chief Operating Officer for Knowledge Pele.

In the past fifteen years, Boipelo’s multifaceted and strategic roles at Pele Energy Group has seen his responsibilities span from overseeing the alignment of the business with the strategic goals, exploring and nurturing opportunities in global markets, and establishing strategic relationships with entities, organizations, and countries that align with Pele Energy Group’s objectives. With a global outlook for the future, Boipelo has been instrumental in forging relations with countries such as South Korea, Costa Rica and the UAE, which involves a complex understanding of market dynamics, regulatory environments, and the keen ability to identify potential partners or opportunities for expansion in these regions.

Boipelo’s new focus on the Pele Agriculture portfolio, particularly in Controlled Environment Agriculture, aligns with the growing interest in sustainable and precision farming practices. This involves investing in technologies and practices that enhance resource efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and contribute to sustainable development goals. Boipelo’s role is key in shaping the future of Pele Energy Group by ensuring strategic alignment in all these arenas.

Boipelo also passionately supports the talent division of Pele Energy Group, encouraging strategic alignment with academic institutions and building Pele talent from the ground up. He also serves on the boards of Pele Energy Group, Knowledge Pele and Pele Green Energy as well as Cradle Impact externally.

Boipelo holds a National Diploma in Marketing Management, an Executive MBA (UAE), as well as a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and New Business Ventures (France). He was also recognised during his time at SAB Miller with awards including, Silver Awards for 2003- 2009, a Gold Award in 2008 as well as the prestigious Managing Director's Award in 2009.
